Charleston Auto Repair

20 hours ago (Monday, Oct. 19, 2015) I had a flat tire this morning, but made it to Honest-1 Auto Care Charleston. They are located at 3470 Shelly Ray Court across from West Ashley HS. (843.766.5537) They are very nice people. Jeff is the manager who was answering the phones, training a new person (hi Claudia), Talking with his boss AND waiting on customers (without losing his cool). They also have someone that will take you to work hi Al). They did not try to bait me into buying more than what I needed. They knew I was trying to get to work as soon as possible and Jeff made it happen. Their waiting room is awesome--- flat screen TV (remote handy), nice chairs, pretty decor, pub style tables and a Keurig... Wowsers! But seriously, I am going back to have them do the front end alignment on my car.

Honest 1 auto care is always able to provide the services need in a fast friendly manner no matter what time I go there. The cookies are great too...

As I drove away I noticed a rattle that did not stop till I cut off the AC. THIS WAS NOT HAPPENING WHEN I ARRIVED. Now I have to listen to it all the way back to Jacksonville tomorrow. I think you forgot to attach something back and I am not happy!

It was 6 weeks ago when I when in to have the mechanic change my oil and check my air conditioner. It was time for an oil change and I had gone several hundred miles over it was critical to have it changed. Also I had been having trouble with my a/c for a while. It would blow out cold air and if I hit a bump it would go off. Sometime it would come on when I hit a bump. But the compressor was for sure working but the switch you turn it low and high would only work on high. I explained all of this at the front counter and said call me to let me know what is wrong before fixing the a/c. Change the oil for sure. I left the car and got a ride home at 11 am they called me at 2 p.m. and said they had checked the a/c and I needed a new condenser, new compressor, filter dryer and several other things relating to the a/c. and he said thats why its blowing out hot air. I said I never said it blew out hot air its very cold air just not consistant. He said I'll call you back after I check with the mechanic again. He never called back. at 4 PM. I caught a ride back to the Honest Car Repair.. They had not even changed my oil. They said you can go ahead and take it if you like. I said, " the oil change was the main thing." I will wait I had to wait an additional 45 minutes after my car had been there for 5 hours. When the mechanic brought it around I walked outside the door and and asked him to stop there I got in the a/c was blowing freezing cold air and I asked him why someone said I needed a new compressor, condenser, and all the other things they listed he said I dont know it is obviously working great. Honest Not So Honest.

Honda screwed on the oil filter to the point that even none of my friends could get it off. I took the car to this place, and they removed it and installed my replacement filter - no charge. I'll definitely go back!
